Word Power

Word Power –

Affirmations

That’s the great thing about being human. Our brain will believe whatever we tell it and there is power in the words we feed our mind. If you have ever watched a magician perform, they have most likely used the word ‘abracadabra’. I learned recently, thanks to a TEDx talk by Andrew Bennett, the origin of the word is Aramaic, and it means what I speak is what I create.

Your words have power to create or destroy. This is an invitation to pay attention to the words you are saying to yourself about yourself. Use the power of I am to calm your fears and worries.

Here are some examples:

I am calm I am centered I am beautiful I am relaxed I am compassionate I am blessed I am fortunate

I am prosperous I am healthy I am joyful

It can be helpful to look in the mirror as you say the affirmations out loud. Stand in a powerful pose. Put both feet on the ground, sit or stand up straight, maybe put your hands on your hips or up in the air. Use affirmations at least twice each day and any time you need to remind yourself how wonderful you are and how wonderful life is.
